Letter, 1782 March 14, Williamsburg [Va.] to Mrs. Peter Colt, Wethersfield, [Conn.].

Describes his arrival in Williamsburg and the general appearance of the town. His journey was trying. Has found a room at Mrs. Hubbard's, whose husband [a Loyalist] is in New York. Does not know when he will be home. Luxury items are hard to come by, and gambling is rampant. Sends his love and some advice concerning his business.
